Autism Awareness 5K Run & Family Fun
April 27, 2018 7:30 AM
Although April is national Autism Awareness Month, what better way to bring awareness to this disorder than to stretch the effort all the way into June and host a day of fun for all! The money raised during this event will allow our clinicians to continue to serve our clients with special needs of all ages. Here are some of the unique ways in which we serve this patient population:
- A sensory room available to address their diverse needs using sounds, smell, sight and touch for greater learning experiences.
- An autism consultant, herself the parent of a child with autism, provides support to our patients with autism spectrum disorders along with their families.
- Our assistive technology library provides diverse ways for our ASD patients to communicate with the world.
Our staff is continuously working to raise funds to be able to purchase new equipment and supplies to benefit our clients. We promote our annual 5K by focusing on Autism Awareness and with your support, we anticipate an exceptional event.
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL!
Our goal for this year is to raise $10,000 to fund the purchase of assistive technology devices for our patients with various speech and hearing impairments.
We deeply appreciate your consideration and would be grateful if you were able to help by sponsoring our 5K this year. Your investment will help increase awareness that with proper treatment, most individuals with disorders, such as Autism, can lead full and productive lives.
Please choose a sponsorship level and contribute online today! In order for us to provide the greatest advertising and exposure for your company, please be sure to email a high resolution logo to email@example.com.
If you prefer, checks and donations can be mailed to West Tennessee Hearing and Speech Center 5K (WTHS 5K) at 65 Ridgecrest Road, Jackson, TN 38305.
We hope that you are able to join our cause. Come, enjoy the day with your family! Thank you for your time and consideration!
Yours in Service,
WTHS 5K Committee
